Ram Mandir darshan timing in 2026
The Ram Mandir does not work on a single all-year timetable. The temple doors open earlier than general darshan begins, and the aarti times differ from the pass slots. A winter schedule applies from 1 November 2026. Times and rules are set by the temple administration and can change, so check the current timetable before you go.
Passes are free of charge. If you would rather have a guide handle the city side of the day, such as the walk through the other temples, look at the Ayodhya temple tours. A paid tour is a separate service: it does not replace the free pass. For the temple itself, see the Ram Mandir page.

Our pick: a two-day stay with a guided darshan
If you would rather not organise the visit alone, this tour adds transport, a stay and a coordinator; darshan itself stays free.

Ayodhya tours around your darshan
Guided visits to the temples and the river, with live prices and availability. The darshan pass itself is free and not part of a paid tour.
Winter schedule from 1 November 2026
The timetable for the winter season, as of 2026. Doors opening and general darshan are different times.
| Item | From 1 November 2026 |
|---|---|
| Temple doors open / close | 04:00 / 22:00 |
| Mangala aarti | 04:30โ04:40 |
| Shringar aarti | 06:30 |
| General darshan begins | 07:00 |
| Bal Bhog in the morning, short closing | 08:00โ08:10 |
| Raj Bhog | 11:30โ12:00 |
| Raj Bhog aarti | 12:00 |
| Midday rest / darshan resumes | 12:30โ13:30 / 13:35 |
| Shayan aarti | 21:30 |
For most visitors, the simplest plan is general darshan in the morning from 07:00 or in the afternoon after 13:35, with an aarti added only if you hold a pass for it. The doors opening at 04:00 does not mean you can enter for general darshan then.
Passes issued earlier in 2026 used different slots: darshan from 07:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 21:00, with Mangal at 04:00, Shringar at 06:00 and Shayan at 22:00. The winter schedule above replaces this pattern, so do not mix the two.
Ram Mandir darshan booking
Sugam darshan passes are free of charge. They are booked online through the temple trust, at online.srjbtkshetra.org. Nobody else needs to be paid for the pass itself, so treat any offer that charges for it with care.
The booking window has been 15 days ahead. An extension to up to 90 days is being introduced step by step, together with a larger online quota. Do not rely on the longer window until you see it on the booking service. Book as early as your dates allow, and keep your confirmation with you.
Whether you can enter without a pass depends on the day and on the current rules at the gate. Aarti entry is tied to a pass. If a particular day matters to you, book a pass ahead and do not count on a walk-in.
Ram Mandir aarti pass
Aarti and darshan passes are free of charge, and entry to an aarti is tied to a pass. The details of quotas, age rules for children, identity documents and any discounts are set by the temple administration, so check them when you book.
The aarti times in the winter table are the ones to plan around: Mangala aarti at 04:30โ04:40, Shringar aarti at 06:30, Raj Bhog aarti at 12:00 and Shayan aarti at 21:30. Allow time for the queue, and arrive well ahead of the aarti you want.
Rules at the temple
What to leave outside and what to wear.
Phones, cameras and bags
Phones, cameras, electronic items and bags are not allowed inside. Free storage is available outside the Parkota, the outer wall of the complex. The full list of banned items can change, so check it with the temple administration.
Clothing
Covering clothing is recommended.
Festivals and holidays
Festivals and special rituals do not follow the regular slots. Expect a different timetable and larger crowds, and check ahead for the date you plan. See Ram Navami and Deepotsav.
Waiting time
No waiting time can be promised. Plan for a queue.
Fitting the day around the temple
One way to plan the day is darshan at the Ram Mandir in the morning, then Hanuman Garhi and Kanak Bhawan after the midday rest, and the evening aarti at the Saryu ghats. Check each place for its own hours, because they are not tied to the Ram Mandir timetable. For the way in, see getting to Ayodhya and where to stay.
